This Policy explains how AMS Global Logistics Pty Ltd (ABN 91 670 840 187) of 500 Victoria Street, Wetherill Park NSW 2164 (“AMSGL”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

We collect personal information needed to provide logistics, customs, transport, warehousing, procurement, and project services.

- Identity and contact: name, role, business name, ABN, email, phone, address.

- Shipment and compliance: importer/exporter numbers, tariff details, permits, declarations, customs and biosecurity data, licences, IDs provided for clearance, delivery instructions, PODs.

- Financial: quotes, invoices, payment details (processed via secure providers; we do not store full card data).

- Online: IP address, device/browser details, pages viewed, referral source, and cookie IDs.

- CCTV and site access: footage at our facilities for safety and security.

- Recruitment: CVs, references, right-to-work details.

- Sensitive information: only where required by law or with your consent, such as limited health/safety info for site visits.

3. How we collect it

- Directly from you (enquiries, RFQs, bookings, emails, client portal).

- From your suppliers, carriers, customs brokers, and other partners.

- From government agencies for compliance.

- Automatically via our website cookies and analytics.

- From third-party tools we use to run our business (see section 6).

If you do not provide certain information, we may be unable to quote, clear, carry, or deliver your goods.

4. Why we collect and use it

- To quote, book, move, clear, store, and deliver freight.

- To manage supplier and carrier arrangements.

- To meet legal, customs, biosecurity, sanctions, and security obligations.

- To operate our website, client portal, and tracking.

- For billing, payments, risk management, and insurance.

- To communicate service updates and, where permitted, send relevant marketing. You can opt out at any time.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for site functionality, performance, and aggregated analytics. You can control cookies in your browser, noting some features may not work without them. We may use tools like Google Analytics to understand site use in aggregate.

6. Disclosure of personal information

We may share information with:

- carriers, airlines, shipping lines, consolidators, depots, and terminals

- customs brokers, partner agents, and networks in Australia and overseas

- Australian Border Force, Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (biosecurity), and other regulators or law enforcement as required

- insurers, surveyors, lawyers, and professional advisers

- IT, cloud, CRM, communications, and payment service providers

- warehousing and transport subcontractors

7. Overseas disclosures

To move and clear freight, we routinely disclose information to overseas partners and authorities in countries where your goods transit or are delivered, including across the Asia-Pacific. Where reasonable, we take steps to ensure those recipients protect the information.

8. Direct marketing

We may send logistics updates and service information that we believe are relevant. You can unsubscribe using the link in our emails or by contacting us.

9. Security and retention

We use reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect personal information. We keep it only as long as needed for our services, legal obligations, or dispute handling, then take steps to de-identify or securely destroy it.

10. Access and correction

You can request access to your personal information or ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, or misleading. We may need to verify your identity and, in limited cases allowed by law, may refuse access with reasons.

If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will assess promptly and, where required by law, notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Our website and portal may link to or integrate with third-party sites, tools, and data (for example, tracking or schedules). Those parties have their own privacy practices. Check their policies before providing information.

13. Children

Our services are for business users. We do not knowingly collect personal information about children.
